.
Some records are meant to be kept. Some are
meant to be broken and others – well, others are meant to be forgiven.
Love keeps no records of wrong. Wouldn't that be
nice? When we hurt another there would be no record of it. But we don't. We
remember more of the pain and bad then we ever remember the good, the success
and the love. Why? Why do we find it easier to hold on to the pain rather than
the joy? I honestly don't know.
I can only imagine, if you are at all like me,
some of it is because we feel like we don't deserve the good. So replaying or
recording the wrongs in our life seems more fitting of what we feel we
deserve.
We must work to erase the misconception that
we deserve to have wrongs committed against us. We must learn to forgive so we
can keep no records and truly fall in love with the crazy love first given
from the Lord.
Colossians
2:13-14 - And you, who were dead in your trespasses
and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having
forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood
against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the
cross.

Hi Elizabeth...I am your "upstairs neighbor" at 31 Days and I see that we are writing on the same topic...LOVE. Enjoyed looking at a few of your posts. And there is so much we can say about His love in so many different ways but the point is always the same...us loving God and each other better everyday!
Blessings to you and yours...
